Orchestra Hall

Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates
A respected theorist, artist, and award-winning architect, Robert Venturi has brought his distinct design aesthetic to a wide array of projects, including five buildings at Princeton University and three at Dartmouth. Among his other projects are the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery in London; the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, and the Seattle Art Museum. A recipient of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize and the National Medal of the Arts, he has lectured and written extensively. His book, Complexity and Contradiction in Architecture, is a recognized milestone in architectural theory.

Denise Scott Brown, a partner in Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates, is widely respected as an architect, urban planner, theorist, and educator as well. Among her recent projects are the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman Quadrangle and the Mielparque Kirifuri resort in Kirifuri National Park near Nikko, Japan. Widely published in professional journals, Ms. Scott Brown has been awarded the National Medal of Arts and is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
