Joel Escalona
Pragmatic, humorous and poetic are all words often used to describe designer Joel Escalona’s work. His work—centered around the belief that ideas should engage meaningfully while pushing limits of contemporary design—has been featured in some of the most prestigious publications and major design events around the world, including Maison & Objet Paris, Salone Internazionale del Mobile Di Milano, Design Miami/Basel, ZⓢONAMACO. Additionally, Escalona also works as the creative director for two internationally-known contemporary furniture companies—nono and BREUER—and is a founding member of Cooperative Panorámica—a collective of Mexican designers.
