LIMITED EDITION Ana Watch designed by Richard Meier
[blockquote style=”” align=”right” author=”- Richard Meier”]In the design of a watch, as in my architecture, I adhere to modernist vocabulary, focusing on proportion, human scale and the manipulation of a strong geometry. Working on various designs of objects used in daily life, such as watches, I am conscious of participating in a tradition of architects that worked in a variety of scales such as Joseph Hoffmann and Frank Lloyd Wright. In my case, the theoretical point of departure is consistently related to function and beauty.[/blockquote]
Each watch is numbered on the back as part of this 250 piece limited edition. This new gray slate color dial features the architect’s signature on the dial. Currently numbers 151 – 250 are sold out and approximately less than 100 of these collectible watches are left in inventory and then they will be no more.
Contemporary and classic, this collectible watch, is Architect Richard Meier’s latest combination of mediums. At 38mm (1.50″) this unisex watch has a polished stainless steel case with a brushed braided bezel. Perfect for every day or evening.
Ana is also available in a non-limited edition with a white dial and your choice of a slate gray band or Richard Meier’s signature white band making it a classic Richard Meier signature watch. Ana is the third in a continued series of Projects Watches designed by Richard Meier. Meier’s first watch was the High Museum Watch created to honor the museum of the same name. The High Museum Watch has a “glow” or light up button that allows the watch to be read easily in the dark. Like the museum itself, The High Museum Watch deals with space, lighting, and perspective.
Ana measures 38mm in diameter (1.50″), and is a unisex watch made of stainless steel, complimented by either a 20mm (3/4″) slate gray leather band.
