About Alvaro Alvarez and Maria Lopez
NEGROIMPAR (Spain) Alvaro Alvarez is an Industrial Designer (graduated from the IED Madrid) specialized in product and furniture design and Maria Lopez is an Architect (graduated from the ETSAM, Polytechnical University of Madrid) specialized in energy-efficient architecture solutions and creative processes. While working for different architectural studios in Madrid, they started collaborating in parallel with each other on the development of some design concepts. By the end of 2014, they decided to set up their own business and they founded ‘NEGROIMPAR’, an architectural and design firm both based in Asturias and Madrid that is half way between a project office and a creative lab. Their main strands of work and research are now focused on optimizing and improving distributions of interior spaces and researching about new furniture design needs for enhancing the users experience and developing creative solutions for domestic environments, workplaces and retail projects, always offering an integral and personalized design service from the first idea to the last technical detail. Some of their latest product concepts and furniture designs have been recognized and shown in some wellknown design events and fairs around Europe, such us the SuperDesign Show (Milan, Italy), Cevisama (Valencia, Spain) or, more recently, the London Design Festival (UK).Show products
