Kiura BLACK Chronograph 2016
The Kiura BLACK Chronograph Watch designed by Alessio Romano
“ki-uh-ra” recalls the Italian word “chi ura” … a nostalgic shout-out in the Sicilian dialect of the watch’s designer
What time is it?
Kiura is also a word that delves into the culture and language of Japan. In Japan where simplicity, harmony, ethics, and severity are the pillars of the welfare of the inner life, it is also the principle that have inspired past designers and present designers today alike to reflection and re-evaluation of the classic watch; the chronograph. Kiura embodies these characteristics by reducing and simplifying every aspect’ of the classic” chronograph, by returning it to the essence of its simple and pure graphics ensuring maximum efficiency and precision.
Kiura Black Chronograph is a contemporary and classic design free from all those confusing (and unnecessary) markings that few understand. A watch that reads like the time you understand. Clearly proud of the mantra that less is more!
Kiura is a 40mm Chronograph Watch made of a black IP stainless steel case and 20mm leather band. Kiura has 3 sub-dials; the left sub-dial is a stopwatch measuring time in minutes with the center sub-dial measuring time in seconds and the third sub-dial measuring time in 24 hour increments.
Kiura Black Chronograph is also available with a black IP stainless steel case, white dial and black printing; the opposite of the watch you see pictured here.
