Twirler Black is a new interpretation of time
No, your eyes do not deceive you! At first you might think that telling time is not a simple task. But, it is anything but difficult with Twirler Black. Both the hour and minute hand lay at angle and turn “clockwise” to align perfectly with the index marks. The Twirler Watch – Form and function follow the principle of rotation. Twirler’s hands have moved outward from the center of the dial and angled at 30°, creating a dynamic picture of time and reminding us in a pictographic way that time is a floating concept which is not easy to grasp and is continually affected by change and motion.
Twirler Black is a unisex watch measuring 40mm (1.57″) in diameter and 7.6mm (0.30″) high. It is made of a black IP stainless steel with hidden lugs that connect the band seamlessly.
Twirler is water-resistant to 3 ATM and complemented with a 20mm black leather band. Our exclusive Projects black stainless steel metal mesh band, and our black silicone band fits Twirler and can be ordered separately.
Twirler is designed by one of Projects’ newest designers, Johannes Lindner www.johanneslindner.com. A young designer from Germany, Lindner pursues the creation of products that combine extraordinary functionality, color and aesthetic beauty. “I try to develop products that deliver enjoyment during everyday use and at the same time create everyday value. My Twirler Watch for Projects is such a product.”
The Twirler Watch was part of the exhibition Telling Time 1550-2015: six centuries of timekeeping devised by Mudac in Lausanne, hosted at the centre of innovation and design in Grand-Hornu.
